Taking One Day at a Time

Wednesday, January 10, 2007

I promise...I'm still around...still living and breathing...still smiling! Pretty much from the moment Kent and I got engaged, life got just a little busier (and, of course, a lot more enjoyable!). ;)

A little update:
Kent and I flew to Washington state on Christmas Eve to spend Christmas with his family. A week later, we were thrown an engagement shower by his aunts so, only days into our engagement, we did some registering - not quite what we were expecting time-wise, but it was still a lot of fun. :)

Now, we're back at the grind. Kent continues his seminary classes and I am a Teacher Assistant for Spanish 122 at Calvin College during interim. It's an all-day extravaganza that is preparing me well for student teaching starting January 29!

I can tell it's going to be a bit more difficult to keep in touch with people and stay consistant with my blogging (and, as you can tell if you've been reading my blog, I haven't been so faithful with my posting - sorry!). Not only with student teaching right around the corner, but now with planning a wedding. I already have my dress and all the bridesmaids dresses and flower girl dresses...we have a church and some options for a reception...plans are in progress!

Amidst all the business, I can't help but feeling incredibly blessed. God is so faithful...I remember wondering if the day would ever come when I would get married...and now it'll be here before I know it! I am definitely looking forward to marrying my best friend....

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas break, remembering that Christ not only came, but will come again! And happy new year! May it be a wonderful year filled with much love and many blessings!
