This past Saturday we had a BEAUTIFUL day - finally! I had all the intentions to work on my Professional Certification...but...saw one of my neighbors out in the garden plots planting. SO, I said to myself, "That's it! I'm doing it! I'm planting my garden!"

Here it is (view from my balcony):
5th row: garden beans & spinach
4th row: red onions & carrots
3rd row: green pepper & red pepper
2nd row: roma tomatoes
1st row: heirloom tomatoes (in yellow tomato cages :) and roma tomatoes



I am happy. :)

I got my hands dirty. I got some sun. I even got a little burnt...and it all made me happy.

No...not the kind you may be thinking...

This past week, Kent and I made the 2 hour drive down to Seattle to pick up my new Nikon D90 camera (a good find on Craigslist...and ironically from a guy named Craig...). I have been saving up for quite a while to buy this beauty and couldn't be more excited to learn how to use it for all it's worth. With the money I saved, I hope to sign up for a photography class or two.

At this time in the year, I really have no time to "play" with my new toy quite yet, but here are a few pics I took to test it out.
